In our "Seed Cities", which have untapped potential for nature-based solutions, training in GoGreenRoutes innovations and exchange with "Cultivating Cities" Burgas, Lahti, Limerick, Tallinn, Umeå and Versailles will create a supportive arena for them to re-think, plan and implement their own urban greening measures in the future.

GoGreenRoutes local partner: Region of Murcia

Murcia (Spain) is a self-governing region, located in the southeast of Spain. With over 460,000 inhabitants the southern European municipality. Murcia has developed its Strategy of Sustainable Architecture and Construction (EACS) . The strategy has been developed as part of the Circular Economy Strategy for the Region of Murcia 2030 (ESECIRM) in response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Urban Agenda 2030 of the European Union. 

Murcia has promoted subsidies aimed at local entities to promote and support adaptation to climate change in urban and peri-urban areas, in order to collect pilot experiences that enhance the use of nature based solutions in our public spaces.

Murcia is also participating in two european projects:Policy Support Facility and Regilience project. Murcia strives to bring awareness to the many benefits of using nature-based solutions in public space.
