A Playful City GoGreenRoutes 2024 Highlights
A Playful City (APC) is pleased to present these highlights detailing the phased process, implementation, and outcomes of our Go- GreenRoutes Urban Play Events in six cities across Europe. The events celebrated the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) created as part of the GoGreenRoutes (GGR) project in six partner cities: Burgas, Lahti, Limerick, Tallinn, Umeå, and Versailles. Over six months, APC organised a series of intergenerational urban play events at each of the NBS sites in the six partner cities across Europe. Designed to promote social inclusion, physical activity, play and community engagement, these events invited people of all ages to explore and enjoy newly developed NBS sites in each city. Through play and shared experiences, the GGR Urban Play events brought communities together and celebrated the potential of nature-based solutions to create healthier, more inclusive urban environments. Imagery from the GoGreenRoutes Seedbed Interventions
Seedbed Interventions are participatory processes involving researchers, city council workers, locals and other specialists. These interventions are temporary events which connect different groups of people. Over the course of several months, the six GoGreenRoutes Seedbed Cities brought large groups together to co-create innovative Seedbeds for the benefit of communities. These events were an invaluable learning opportunity, which will ultimately inform further co-creation in each city.
